Noise has been studied extensively in the literature because noise reduction is one of the major goals. A more compelling reason for the study of noise is its potential application in real life. These applications encompass biomedical engineering, electronic circuits, communication systems, cryptography, computers, electro‐acoustics, geosciences, instrumentation, and reliability engineering. This article addresses the various noise generation techniques and implementing them in analog and digital circuit technology and concludes with a discussion of typical applications.
