The lack of innovation in learning media at SDN Lumbungmas 01 impacts student learning outcomes. This research is of the RnD (Research and Development) type, referring to the Borg and Gall model. The purpose of this study is to test the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of developing e-comic media assisted by video. The population used consists of 12 students from class VB on a small scale and 22 students from class VA on a large scale at SDN Lumbangmas 01, totaling 34 students. Data collection techniques include tests and non-tests. The test technique involves pretests and posttests, while non-test techniques involve interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation data. The feasibility scores given by media, material, and language expert validators show that the development of e-comic media meets the criteria for being highly feasible with scores of 90% (very feasible), 90% (very feasible), and 70% (feasible), respectively, resulting in an average of 83.3% (very feasible). The practicality of media development, assessed through questionnaires, indicates it is highly practical. Based on pretest and posttest results, the e-comic media development meets the criteria for effectiveness. This is evident from the effectiveness analyzed through the t-test and N-gain test. The t-test shows that Sig. < 0.05, meaning there is a significant difference between learning outcomes before and after treatment. The N-gain test shows high criteria, with 0.6182 on a small scale and 0.7173 on a large scale. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the development of e-comic media assisted by video is feasible, practical, and effective for use in learning for fifth-grade students at SDN Lumbungmas 01

Developing a Local Genius-Based Pocket Book for Elementary School Students

Local wisdom-based learning resources are needed to support student character-oriented learning, one of which is a pocketbook, but currently, the number is minimal. This study aims to produce a product in the form of teaching materials in the form of a pocketbook based on local wisdom that has a proper and effective predicate for elementary school students. This research includes research and development research by adopting the ADDIE research method. This research was conducted in an elementary school in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The results of the questionnaire of material experts, media experts, teacher responses, student responses, learning implementation observation sheets, pre-test, and post-test were obtained in this study. The data analysis technique was paired sample t-test, percentage, and average. The results of this study are as follows (1) the material expert stated that the pocketbook based on local genius is feasible to use with very good criteria. Media experts assessed with good criteria. ( 2) the effectiveness of the pocketbook is very good. This can be seen from the value of positive student responses. The observation sheet for the implementation of the learning process is very good. Student achievement increased, as indicated by the average score of pre-test and post-test. The pocket book based on local genius was declared effective, as indicated by the results of the t-test calculation. The pocket book based on the developed local wisdom had a positive impact. This can potentially be used for elementary school students as valuable teaching material for strengthening student character.

Analyzing scientific mapping literature activity on digital comics, animation, and digital cartoons is essential for future research and development. The objective of the current study was to assess research activity in digital comics, animation, and digital cartoons. VOSviewer and Scopus were used to perform bibliometric analysis. The research was conducted from 2013 to 2023 and found 288 documents. In 2022, most research reports on digital comics, animation, and digital cartoons were published. China is the most productive region in terms of articles, with English being the most widely used language. The most common subject area is computer science, and the most common source is the journal Lecture Notes in Computer Science. The most productive author is Dong Hao Li. Zhejiang University is the most productive institution. Future research should concentrate on a single discipline and work with Google Scholar and Web of Science data for in-depth analysis.
