Development of Low Power Wireless Power Transfer System Using Resonance Principle With Security Features

Abstract: This research describes a resonance principle-based low power Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) system. The reflective impedance model is derived to evaluate the resonance coupling between coils. Additionally, Cockroft Walton voltage boosting circuit is incorporated to boost up the received voltage to the appropriate level, instead of using traditional conditioning circuits. The prototype model, operating at 130 kHz, is demonstrated experimentally and analysed graphically to validate the performance of designed ci… Show more

“…Wireless charging system using spectral energy harvesting technique (Chandrasekharan Nataraj) 315 coupled inductive power transfer scheme is typically adopted for the Radio Frequency (RF) wireless power transfer applications such as biomedical implants, RFID tags and mobile phone charging [5][6][7]. WPT for mobile phones was achieved by the means of electro-magnetic induction that harvest the energy from a current source [8].…”

“…ICWPT are proving the most used ones in charging traction batteries of electric vehicles in the automobile field and also domestic induction cooking appliances [7]. The applications involving solar cells, lasers, microwaves and resonance of electromagnetic waves have had the latest success in the field of WPT [8,9]. This technology finds realistically viable applications in the area of Distribution Generation (DG) system [10].…”
