Development of pediatric oncology

Abstract: The first publication about surgical treatment of tumors in children in medical literature dates from the beginning of the 19th century. Operations were a method of choice to treat. New development in science such as microscopy research, anesthesia, antisepsis, X-ray, and radium therapy has changed the approach to malignant diseases.
