In this study, it was aimed at developing a valid and reliable evaluation tool with the purpose of evaluating the Data Driven Decision Making Skills of teachers who work in primary school, middle-school and high-school levels. 534 teachers were included in the study (256 for EFA and 278 for CFA) (63 % female and 37 % male). For the scale development process, 730 teachers constituted the whole study group. In order to determine the structural validity of the scale, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were used. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis, it was determined that the scale consisted of 10 items and 2 sub-dimensions. In the light of the literature, these dimensions were titled “Data literacy” and “Decision making”. The 2 sub-dimensional structure of the scale was subjected to the confirmatory factor analysis and as a result of the CFA, 1 item was excluded from the scale. The 2 sub-dimensional model created as a result of the EFA of DDDMS was tested with CFA and the adaptive values are at an acceptable level. In addition, the t values related to the high and low group difference of the scale showed that DDDMS is able to assess the structure in a distinctive manner. In order to determine the reliability of the scale, the Cronbach alpha internal consistency coefficients were calculated. When the reliability analyses results were viewed in the light of Data Driven Decision Making Scale’s factors, 0,782 value was obtained for the “Data Literacy” sub-dimension and 0,672 value was obtained for the “Decision Making” sub-dimension. The inner consistency coefficient of DDDMS is 0,790. As a result of the findings, it was determined that Data Driven Decision Making Scale is a valid and reliable assessment tool to evaluate the DDDM skills of teachers.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between the digital literacy levels of university students and their digital data security awareness levels. The research was carried out in relational screening model. The population of the research consists of students studying at İnönü University in the Spring semester of the 2020-2021 academic year. 265 students who participated in the sample voluntarily were included. The 'Digital Literacy Scale', consisting of 17 items developed by Ng in 2012 and adapted into Turkish by Üstündağ, Güneş & Bahçıvan, was used to determine the digital literacy status of students. The original scale has a 4-factor structure. The Turkish version of the scale, on the other hand, consists of one factor and 10 items. The 'Digital Data Security Awareness' scale developed by Yılmaz, Şahin & Akbulut was used to scale students' awareness of digital data security. According to the results obtained in the research; students' digital literacy levels are moderate and digital data security awareness levels are high. The digital literacy levels and digital data security awareness levels of male students are higher than female students. There is no difference between the digital literacy and digital data security awareness levels of the students studying at the associate and undergraduate level. The digital literacy and digital data security awareness levels of the students who have a computer are higher than the students who do not have a computer. The digital literacy and digital data security awareness levels of students who use computers for a longer time daily are higher than students who use computers for shorter periods of time. There is no difference between digital literacy and digital data security awareness levels according to students' social media usage time. As students' level of use of digital devices increases, their level of digital literacy and digital data security awareness also increases. There is a highly positive and significant relationship between students' digital literacy levels and their awareness of digital data security.

Adaptation of Online Privacy Concern Scale into Turkish culture

The purpose of this study was to adapt "Online Privacy Concern Scale" developed by Buchanan, Paine, Joinson and Reips (2007) to Turkish culture. The original version of the scale was composed of 16 items gathered under a one-factor structure. During the translation process, expert opinions were taken for the language validity. The scale was pre-administered to 40 participants to pursue linguistic equality. To determine the validity and reliability evidence of the scale, it was administered to two separate groups consisting of adult Internet users. In order to examine and confirm the scale structure, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses (EFA and CFA) were conducted. After eliminating two items, EFA showed that the scale had a three-factor structure (email usage, online trust and online payment) in Turkish culture. The Cronbach's Alpha internal consistency of the whole scale was .89. In addition, CFA verified the three-factor solution. The results of the current study confirmed that the Turkish version of the scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool for the assessment of online privacy concern of adult Internet users.
