This study considers an agile model for the organization of activities of a project-oriented transport company. Building a project-oriented company (project-oriented management) requires an appropriate theoretical base. The agile model of transport company operation has been developed, for which the cycles have been determined, the content of each cycle has been defined, and the flow of information has been simulated. The transformation of information in each cycle of the model has been characterized, taking into consideration the operational specificity of transport companies’ activities. A given model was compared to the main stages of a project’s lifecycle. Two indicators have been proposed such as the degree of project uniqueness and the degree of project complexity that reflect the corresponding project characteristics. The complexity of the project’s operational activities refers to the number of elements and their alternatives. Part of the project is an «operation» that forms a unit of the project’s network schedule. The uniqueness of the project of operational activities means the difference between the current project and other projects, already implemented or is being implemented by the company. The estimation formulae for these indicators have been derived. The proposed indicators for the given example have been calculated; the interpretation of the results has been proposed. The calculation results have demonstrated the adequacy of input-output data and the practical applicability of these indicators. These metrics are not limited to the context of an additional project specification. Their level is proposed to be used in the processes of estimating the time of individual project periods and the agile model’s cycles within the initial stage ‒ creating a product concept model and preparing for implementation. In addition, these indicators could be used effectively for employee remuneration.

This study investigates variants in transportation maintenance of projects. The study subject is the mathematical notation of the dependence of costs incurred during the transportation maintenance of a project on the characteristics of maintenance options. Most projects involve a transportation component, which relates to the need to deliver raw materials, materials, equipment, manpower to the location of the product project (for example, construction projects, infrastructure projects). This study aims to identify variants in the transportation maintenance of projects, to establish mathematical dependences of transportation costs depending on the characteristics of vehicles and the conditions for their use in projects. The characteristics of the vehicles and the conditions of their operation in the projects form the essence of a specific variant of the transportation maintenance of a project. Each alternative transportation maintenance option affects the project, first of all, at the cost level. Therefore, the optimal transportation maintenance variant for a project should be selected considering the impact of options on project costs. In this study, the basis for modeling the cost of a project's transportation maintenance is the project's network schedule and an analysis of its activities in terms of the need for transportation maintenance. Mathematical expressions for the volume of transportation operations and the required number of vehicles of different types have been consistently derived. Cost dependences for three variants of vehicle utilization (rent, service, acquisition) have been derived, based on vehicle characteristics, for three levels of project consideration: certain operations, a certain time span, the project in general. The resulting formalization of transportation maintenance costs makes it possible to vary the characteristics of vehicles and the conditions for their use in a project during the decision-making phase of choosing the transportation maintenance option for a project, or their combination. The reported results underlie further development of the model for optimizing parameters and choosing the transportation maintenance variant of projects.

The level of competition in the transport market requires delivery organizers to implement better approaches based on modern management methodologies, in particular, agile, which makes it possible to provide a modern level of service to cargo owners. The object of this research is the processes of organizing multimodal delivery. The subject of the study is the area of compromise in the processes of organizing multimodal delivery based on the agile approach. The term «compromise area» is introduced, which reflects the numerical limits of product parameters in the general case. For the transportation domain under consideration, the «trade-off area» reflects the limits of the characteristics of multimodal delivery, which is the «product» for the multimodal operator. A set of alternative options for multimodal delivery forms the basis for establishing the dependence of the cost of delivery on time and its reliability (possible time deviation). The area in the «time-reliability-cost» space, which is formed on the basis of this dependence, on the one hand, and the requirements of the cargo owner, taking into account their possible adjustment, on the other hand, is the area of compromise. This area is proposed for use in agile approaches to the organization of multimodal delivery. Balancing the interests of the cargo owner and the multimodal operator allows changing the limits of the compromise area within the framework of the proposed scheme of agile cycles in the process of planning and organizing delivery. On the example of delivering a container with cargo from China to Kyiv, regression linear models were built. These models formalize the dependence of delivery cost on reliability and/or time. Using the example of varying the requirements of the cargo owner regarding the limitations of some delivery characteristics, the formation of the compromise area and its adjustment was carried out, which demonstrated the practical aspects of the formation of the compromise area for multimodal delivery. The results are the basis for the implementation of the agile approach in the field of multimodal transportation. The further development of these results consists in the construction of mathematical models that could form the basis for finding solutions in the area of compromise
