Development of Wire Moored Carrier for Slope Surface Inspection

Abstract

The trial production of a slope survey equipment that can avoid obstacles and perform inspections equivalent to close-up visual inspections using a camera was carried out. The equipment consists of a main rod connected to the wheels, a pair of motors and propellers, and a flight controller. It is connected to the mooring wire via arms. The equipment is moved up and down by mooring wire. While moored by the wire, it rises by the thrust of the motors and moves left and right to avoid obstacles. Using this equipment, a 3D model was created from the images taken.
