Abstract: : Neurotransmitter γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) plays a principal role in the regulation of mammalian central nervous system functions. GABA evoked neurotransmission is terminated by a rapid uptake via dependent plasma membrane GABA transporters (GATs) located in the cell membrane.
