Detection of Amoebic Liver Abscess by Isotope Scanning

Multiple areas of decreased activity are seen in patients with multiple metastases (Wagner et al, 1961). In the case of neoplasms and cysts the Photoscan showing huge area of reduced radioactivity in right lobe due to amoebic abscess.…”

Furthermore, good function of both the liver parenchymal cells and the reticuloendothelial cells, which take up the rose bengal and colloidal gold respectively, is necessary.…”
