“…In Colombia, congenital malformations affect 2 to 3% of newborns and are the main cause of mortality for infants under one-year-old. 2 Moreover, only 21.5% of chromosomal abnormalities are diagnosed early and opportunely, 2 with the rest being diagnosed postnatally.
