Dielectric anomaly in the quasi-one-dimensional frustrated spin-12system Rb2(Cu1

Abstract: Dielectric and magnetic properties have been studied for poly-crystalline samples of quasi-one-dimensional frustrated spin-1/2 system Rb 2 (Cu 1-x M x ) 2 Mo 3 O 12 (M=Ni and Zn) which does not exhibit a three-dimensional magnetic transition due to quantum spin fluctuation and low dimensionality. A broad peak in the magnetic susceptibility -temperature curves originated from a short range helical ordering at low temperature is suppressed by the Ni and Zn substitution for Cu sites. The capacitance is found to a… Show more

“…We conclude that the T anomaly reported in Refs. [29][30][31][32] must be due to an impurity phase. The most likely culprit is a related copper molybdate, namely Cu 3 Mo 2 O 9 .…”

“…The peculiar magnetic and dielectric properties of the quasi-one-dimensional frustrated ferro-antiferromagnet Rb 2 Cu 2 Mo 3 O 12 have been studied for over a decade [25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32]. The ground state is a gapped quantum paramagnet, arXiv:2011.00107v1 [cond-mat.str-el] 30 Oct 2020 with magnetic long-range order induced in a magnon BEC transition at µ 0 H c1 ∼ 2 T. The BEC "dome" extends up to µ 0 H c2 ∼ 13 T, where the system becomes saturated.…”
