“…OTiPc molecule has a permanent electric dipole perpendicular to the molecular plane (O ␦--Ti ␦+ direction, 2.16 Debye [38]) with oxygen atom being negatively charged. For the as-grown film, the HOMO band consists of three features denoted by A, B, and C, while a very sharp HOMO band A' is observed for the annealed film as observed in the CuPc/HOPG system [34,39,42]. Similar annealing effects are observed in other polar-Pc systems (ClAlPc, OVPc, and PbPc), which can be explained by the rearrangement of the molecules due to the diffusion/migration and reorientation of the molecules.…”
