This work has for main objective to deal with the matter of the agricultural professional formation. Early in the twentyeth century, the agricultural education in Brazil was presented as a way of setting man on the field. This was evident in the ideals of the "pedagogical ruralism" still at the 20's. Later, several educational politics oriented toward to the rural way had had the setting of man on the field as it's first objectives.With the sprouting of the agroindustries in Brazil and posterior implantation of politics directed to the modernization of the sector, many agrotechnical schools had been created with the aim of consider this demand. The agroindustrial capital started to require a professional who, through the agricultural extension, had been able to take the modernization to the agriculturists, making appear the Technician in Farming.Formed for the Agrotechnical Schools spread in the interior of Brazil, this professional, son of small agricultural producers, acquires in the school a knowledge and a culture that cares for the agroindustrial complex. However, with the reorganization of the capital ocurred on the 80's, a crisis reaches the sector making reduce a lot the job opportunities of these professionals in the market of the agroindustrial.In the west region of Santa Catarina State there's a consistent Agroindustrial Complex of big meat packing industry, that had added the status of bigger agroindustrial production of Latin America to this part of Brazil. In this region, the Escola Agrotécnica Federal de Concórdia along the years had provide professionals to all these factories. Since 1980,with the reorganization of the sector and based on the new proposal of formation toward the entrepreneurism, the school has reoriented it's courses in order to form it's students under the entrepreneur concept. However, by analysing the results of this work, several issues were founded regarding the setting of these students in the agricultural field.
