Disaster Coverage Predication for the Emerging Tethered Balloon Technology: Capability for Preparedness, Detection, Mitigation, and Response

Abstract: Tethered Balloon features made it suitable for disaster preparedness, mitigation, and recovery. The performance of rescue and relief teams was effective and efficient before and after the disaster as well as can be continued to coordinate the relief teams until disaster recovery. (Disaster Med Public Health Preparedness. 2018;12:222-231).

“…Furthermore, autonomous vehicles can also get passengers in demand based on loading and unloading areas. Moreover, improving traffic flow can allow public service to optimize evacuation planning in natural disasters [225][226][227]. In order to make our life easier, machine learning and IoT devices are necessary for improving efficiency.…”

“…Recently, a lot of connected sensors are being efficiently replaced by one drone that has the most essential features such as ease of deployment, flexible payload, programmability, and the ability to measure anything at any time anywhere. Drones can enable communication services while wireless communication networks are damaged during disaster [19]. They can also be used to gather information at a particular place and send the information to a control center in real time to aid with making the right decisions.…”

“…With the increasing frequency and severity of disasters [ 1 ] and the associated social and economic impacts on all countries, the international community has placed improving the ways through which disasters are managed a key priority. The Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 framework has set four main priorities for governments to focus on: 1) understanding disaster risk; 2) strengthening disaster risk governance to manage risks; 3) investing in disaster risk reduction for resilience; and 4) enhancing disaster preparedness for effective response and ‘building back better’ in recovery, rehabilitation, and reconstruction [ 2 ]. The framework further specified a set of required actions for each of these priorities, and emphasized the role of technology as a key strategic and operational enabler.…”
