The media, as a tool for creating awareness and educating the community, plays an important role in conveying information about natural disasters. Numerous types of information media can be used at present. However, the most widely used media type, the delivery stages and the role of media in disaster management remain under researched. This study performs a literature review of various information media for natural disasters used in ten Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries as a reference for creating disaster information media, which will be improved in future research. Information is obtained by reviewing 79 papers. Media information analysis is conducted using the paired comparison method. The components used for comparison cover media types, delivery phase and role in disaster management. Results show that the media used in ASEAN countries are similar: print media (e.g. brochures, posters, and newspapers), and electronic media (e.g. radio, television, Internet and modelling). The results of the analysis also indicate that the most commonly used disaster information media are electronic media, which deliver information during a disaster to convey information on events and losses incurred. Disaster simulation modelling, including evacuation routes and rescue efforts, is the information media that should be more widely used in the future. Information should be disseminated before a disaster occurs, very important apply situational crisis communication theory to an institution of disaster management in making the right decisions, strategic, and useful. Thereby rendering it useful in reducing the loss of life and damage to infrastructure caused by a disaster.

Introduction: The Early Warning Score (EWS) can be used to predict the likelihood of short-term and long-term death. It is associated with abnormalities in the condition of vital signs of patients who are at high risk of death, regardless of the intervention or timeliness of medical personnel. Methods: This research is an innovation for the management of Evidence-based practice-based nursing actions. It was conducted using quantitative research (quasi-experiment) using post-test design with control group. The populations were all hospitalized patients in the adult room of the Subang Hospital. Results: The result showed that the Gross Death Rate in the control group of 29 people with a percentage of 10.54% of the total number of respondents is 275. Then, in the intervention group, the GDR figure was a small percentage of 12 people with a percentage of 4.36%. Meanwhile, the Net Death Rate in the control group was 9 people with a percentage of 3.27%. In the intervention group, the number of NDR was small, namely 4 people with a percentage of 1.45%. Conclusion: Based on the results and analysis of statistical tests that have been conducted on the implementation of the application of Early Warning Score (EWS), it was found that the detection of early death intervention group is lower than the control group. Early Warning scores significantly decreased the GDR and NDR in the intervention group compared to the control group.

Background: Because of Myanmar's location, many residents are in disaster risk zones. This study aimed to explore the disaster-related awareness and preparedness of the residents from the dry, hilly, and delta regions.Methods: This research was a survey design, a cross-sectional approach, and used a survey questionnaire. By applying the RCDP clusters and hazard profile, 13 (19%) villages from hilly, 100 (53%) villages from dry, and 27 (28%) villages from the delta region were proportionately and randomly selected. From which,1800 household heads were randomly culled. The data collected through the face-to-face interview were entered into EpiData and analyzed in STATA 15.Results: All samples of residents were composed of 6.7% from hilly, 76.5% from dry, and 16.8% from the delta region. residents of 72.4% and 71.5% (dry region), 54.3% and 53.4% (hilly region), and 88.6% and 87.6% (delta region) were aware of the types and associated risks of the common disasters, respectively. Regarding disaster preparedness, approximately one-third have prepared for evacuation, emergency response, disaster kits, safe areas (shelter), reconstruction/rehabilitation, about one-fifth for emergency response operations, risk assessment, and risk reduction planning, and less than 10% for capacity building, awareness-raising, and information management. More than 50% have planned for preparedness after returning homes. Overall, good awareness and preparedness proportions were 38.2% and 13.9%.Conclusions: Overall, the three regions' disaster awareness and preparedness levels were unsatisfactory, which highlights that National natural disaster management committee should effectively apply the information media, provide training/advocacies and support safe community initiatives.
