Abstract: A família Cactaceae apresenta mais de 1.500 espécies no mundo, ocorrendo espécies endêmicas em todo o território nacional. Em populações naturais, tais elementos sofrem fortes pressões antrópicas, o que aumenta consideravelmente o seu risco de extinção.
