Abstract: Mikrofauna foraminifera telah banyak digunakan sebagai proksi dalam penelitian paleoseanografi dan perubahan iklim purba. Kelimpahan dan komposisi kimia cangkang foraminifera merekam berbagai informasi yang dapat diinterpretasi berkaitan dengan perubahan lingkungan berdasarkan parameter-parameter paleoseanografi.
