“…Acromyrmex species have been a problem in diverse productive systems in Argentina since 1907, when they were declared a pest (Bonetto, 1959). A single colony of Acromyrmex lundii in the lower basin of the Paraná River, can consume up to 6 kg/year of mixed native and exotic plant dry biomass, including leaves, flowers and seeds of Salicaceae (Jiménez, 2019; Sánchez‐Restrepo et al ., 2019).
