“…The obtained result on extent of damage was in conformity with Wang et al, (1995); Nie et al, (1999) and Dorji et al, (2006) who reported that the Chinese citrus fly, B. minax, an oligophagous pest causing more than 50% yield loss and occasionally it could be upto 100%. Earlier Kumar et al, (2015) identified the fruit fly as Bactrocera dorsalis and Laskar et al, (2016) reported a mixed population of B. minax and B. dorsalis recovering from mandarin orange of Darjeeling district, West Bengal.
