In addition, the following novel genera of or related to the family Debaryomycetaceae have been introduced, genus names are followed by the isolation source of the respective type species; Danielozyma , insect frass (Kurtzman & Robnett, 2014), Diutina , leaf, cow dung, clinical source, rancid butter, soil (Khunnamwong et al, 2015), Hemisphaericaspora , frass of wood‐boring beetles (Hui et al, 2014), Limtongozyma , samples from grease traps (Boontham et al, 2020), Metahyphopichia , flower (Sipiczki et al, 2016), Nematodospora , beetle gut (Gouliamova et al, 2016), Suhomyces , moss (Kurtzman et al, 2016), and Teunomyces , mushroom, leaf (Kurtzman et al, 2016). However, the origin of type species does not always reflect the ecology of other members of the genus, for example species of genus Suhomyces are mostly found in insect associated habitats (Kijpornyongpan et al, 2019).…”
