Transport industry enterprises consume a significant amount of electricity, and management impacts on this process with the help of digital technologies will reduce costs and allow to obtain other beneficial effects. The paper points out that the development of transport infrastructure, electric transport and all categories of smart transport increases the dependence of the efficiency of the functioning of transport companies on the consumed volumes and quality of electric energy. The authors considered the effects from using new methods of digital management of resource consumption, which include increasing the stability of the power system, increasing the accuracy of measuring consumed resources, as well as solving the problems of effective planning and resource allocation. The influence of the effects of digital management of electricity consumption is considered from the standpoint of value-based management. The key conditions for the information support of the functioning of control systems is a change in the format and method of information exchange, i.e. the transition from the transmission of analog data to digitized information blocks. The results of the study are to confirm the positive impact of the use of digital technologies in the management of electricity consumption, primarily on reducing operating costs and, as a result, increasing the value of transport companies, as well as highlighting the prospects for their widespread use in transport systems, which may be the subject of future research.

This study aims to analyze the influence of value-based management on divestment decisions with risks related to management interests as a moderating variable. This study uses the variable MBN Implementation Level as an independent variable, Risk Related to Management Interests as a moderating variable and Divestment Decision as the dependent variable. Sampling used a purposive sampling method from non-financial companies listed on the IDX and obtained a sample of 35 financial report data. Data were analyzed using the Statistical Program for Social Science (SPSS). The results of this study indicate that the level of MBN implementation can increase divestment decisions and risks related to management's interests strengthen the level of MBN implementation of divesment decisions.

The management control information used in decision‐making comports with one of the two generally accepted roles—to monitor and evaluate employees to conform their behavior to achieving organizational goals (decision‐influencing role), or to reduce decision uncertainty (decision‐facilitating role). However, the ways in which these two roles may combine concurrently has received limited empirical attention. Thus, in this case study, archival data and evidence from 30 interviews with space sector experts are employed to evaluate how the two roles assumed by management control contributed—both individually and jointly—to the achievements of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Apollo program. The analysis leads to a proposed 2×2 matrix that better characterizes the roles that could be assumed by management control in decision settings. This study extends the management control literature by presenting an additionally nuanced picture of these roles, as well as the subsequent consequences that arise from their combinations. Its findings provide insight for management control development and application.
