Double Pituitary Adenomas in Patients With Cushing’s Disease

Abstract: Background and objectiveDouble and multiple pituitary adenomas (PAs) are discovered in 2.6-3.3% of patients with Cushing's disease and in approximately 1% of autopsies. Undiagnosed and unremoved second PA may be the cause of unsuccessful surgical treatment of Cushing's disease.
