Down‐regulation of pigment epithelium‐derived factor in uveitic lesion associates with focal vascular endothelial growth factor expression and breakdown of the blood‐retinal barrier

Abstract: Spontaneous equine recurrent uveitis (ERU) is an incurable autoimmune disease affecting the eye. Identifying biological markers or pathways associated with this disease may allow the understanding of its pathogenesis at a molecular level.
