Dust-ion-acoustic Gardner solitons in a dusty plasma with bi-Maxwellian electrons

Abstract: The nonlinear propagation of dust-ion-acoustic (DIA) waves in a dusty plasma with bi-Maxwellian electrons, namely, lower and higher temperature electrons (composed of negatively charged stationary dust, inertial ions, and non-inertial two-temperature-electrons) is investigated by deriving the Gardner equation using the reductive perturbation technique. The basic features (amplitude, width, etc.) of the hump (positive potential) and dip (negative potential) shaped DIA solitons (Gardner solitons, i.e., GSs) are … Show more

“…In the absence of dissipative term, the standard KdV equation and modified KdV (mKdV) were analysed [35,36], these equations are valid when the value of nonlinear coefficient (A) is far above or below the value of any critical parameter. but are not valid for a parametric regime corresponding to A = 0 or A ∼ 0 and SWs could not be formed.…”

“…Tasnim et al [31] considered two-temperature nonthermal ions and discussed the properties of SHWs. In the same year, Masud et al [32][33][34] considered two-temperature electrons following Maxwellian distributions in a dusty plasma environment and analyzed both the solitary waves and the SHWs in respective articles. Recently, Alam et al [35] considered kappa distributed electrons with two distinct temperatures and discussed the properties of DIASHWs.…”
