Abstract:A continuous dynamic adsorption in a fixed-bed column was studied by canna edulis ker residue (CEKR) as an adsorbent for the removal of Cr (VI) ions from aqueous solution. The dynamic adsorption process was simulated by some mathematic models, to determine the characteristic parameters of the column. The results indicated that CEKR could effectively absorb Cr (VI) ions from aqueous solution. Breakthrough time reaching saturation increased significantly with the increase of the temperature, while the bed depth … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
