Aim: The study aimed to examine the relationship between individuals' distrust of the health care system and their health literacy levels and how demographic characteristics affect their level of distrust. Materials and Methods: The research was conducted with 450 people over 18 living in the Selcuklu, Meram, and Karatay districts of the central districts of Konya province. A 32-question survey consisting of demographic questions, the Health Literacy Scale (HLS), and the Health Care System Distrust Scale (HCSD) was applied to the participants. Results: According to the Pearson's correlation test conducted in the research, a negatively weak significant relationship was found between health literacy and distrust of health care systems, which associated increased health literacy with lower distrust. According to the regression analysis, there was a statistically significant relationship between health literacy and distrust of health care systems. Accordingly, 4.4% of the variance in distrust of health care systems was explained by health literacy (R2=0,044). Result: The educational and income status positively affect individuals' level of health literacy. As health literacy level increases, trust in health care systems also increases. For trust to be established between health service providers and consumers, actions should be taken to improve their level of health literacy.

Bu araştırmada XXXXX Sağlık Hizmetleri Meslek Yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin E-nabız sistemi kullanımları hakkındaki algı düzeylerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Nicel araştırma türünden genel tarama modeliyle gerçekleştirilen bu araştırmanın amacı doğrultusunda; 2020-2021 eğitim-öğretim döneminde XXXXX Sağlık Hizmetleri Meslek Yüksekokulu’nda eğitim gören öğrenciler arasında seçkisiz örneklem yöntemi ile belirlenen 494 öğrenci araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma amacı doğrultusunda çalışmaya katılan üniversite öğrencilerinin E-nabız sistemi kullanımları hakkındaki algı düzeylerinin belirlenmesine yönelik “E-Nabız Kullanım Algısı Ölçeği ve Kişisel Bilgi Formu” kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. E-Nabız Kullanım Algısı Ölçeği 23 madde ve 2 boyuttan, Kişisel Bilgi Formu ise katılımcıların sosyo-demografik özelliklerinin belirlenmesine yönelik 6 sorudan oluşmaktadır. Uygulanan ölçekler sonucunda veriler SPSS programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Ayrıca analiz yöntemi olarak; Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi (ANOVA) ve t-testi analizleri kullanılmıştır. Yapılan araştırma sonuçlarına göre, E-Nabız Kullanım Algısı ölçeği ve alt boyutları ile cinsiyet arasında anlamlı farklılık olduğu; E-Nabız Kullanım Algısı ile yaş değişkeni arasında anlamlı farklılık olduğu fakat alt boyutlar ile arasında anlamlı farklılık olmadığı; E-Nabız Kullanım Algısı ve alt boyutları ile sınıf, eğitim görülen bölüm, kronik rahatsızlığı bulunma durumu ve son bir yıl içinde hastane başvuru sayısı değişkenleri ile aralarında anlamlı farklılık olmadığı belirlenmiştir.

Investigation of Nurses' Behavior and Awareness of Work Environment Safety: The Case of a Public Hospital in Konya Province

The aim of this study was to reveal the behaviors and awareness of nurses about workplace safety. The population of the study consisted of 557 active nurses working in a public hospital in Konya province. Online survey technique was used as a data collection tool. The questionnaire consists of 4 sections and 26 questions. The first part consists of questions about sociodemographic characteristics, the second part consists of the safety awareness questionnaire, the third part consists of the safety behavior scale and the fourth part consists of the reporting culture questionnaire. It was determined that the data obtained showed a normal distribution. Independent groups t, one-way variance, Pearson correlation analysis and simple linear regression analysis were applied on the data. Of the 394 nurses who participated in the study, 84.5% were female, 27.9% were in the 23-30 age range, 75.1% were undergraduate graduates, 43.7% were ward nurses, and 28.2% had 20 years or more experience. Again, 61.4% of the participants stated that they had never made a medical error in their unit, 51.0% stated that they had experienced a near-miss incident in their unit, and 53.6% stated that they had witnessed medical errors in their unit before. As a result of the study, it was seen that the safety awareness, safe behavior and reporting culture of the nurses participating in the study were high. It was concluded that an increase in safety awareness leads to an increase in safety behavior and reporting culture levels.
