Easy conversion of nitrogen‐rich silk cocoon biomass to magnetic nitrogen‐doped carbon nanomaterial for supporting of Palladium and its application

Abstract: In this study, magnetic nitrogen-doped carbon (MNC) was fabricated through facile carbonization and activation of natural silk cocoons containing nitrogen and then combined with Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticles to create a good support material for palladium. Palladium immobilization on the support resulted in the formation of magnetic nitrogen-doped carbon-Pd (MNC-Pd). The prepared heterogeneous catalyst was well characterized using FT-IR, TGA, EDX, FE-SEM, XRD, VSM, and ICP-OES techniques. Thereafter, the synthesis of… Show more

“…Propargylamines were synthesized by A 3 coupling of aldehydes and amines with phenylacetylene. 89 Reactions carried out at 80 C for 2 h under solvent-free conditions with 0.02 g CNT-Fe 3 O 4 -broin-Ag as catalyst was found to be optimum (Scheme 47). The catalyst was retrieved eight times without losing the catalytic activity.…”

“…However, due to the commercially available starting materials, simple reaction procedure, high yields of products, and preparation of valuable propargylamine derivatives possessing variety of types of functional groups, transition‐metal‐catalyzed aldehyde–alkyne–amine (A3) coupling reactions have currently attracted much attention in view point of synthetic and medicinal chemists. [ 5,6 ] These types of compounds were synthesized via one‐pot aldehyde (or ketone), amine, and alkyne A3 (or KA2) coupling reaction using different catalytic systems including Fe, [ 7 ] Cu, [ 8 ] Au, [ 9 ] Pd, [ 10 ] Ni, [ 11 ] and Ag [ 12 ] catalysts. [ 13 ] Particularly, Au‐catalyzed A3 coupling reaction was carried out in aqueous media or solvent‐free conditions.…”

“…6 To date, various transition metal NPs such as Au, Cu, and Ag have been employed to promote this reaction. [7][8][9] Recently, gold NPs were applied as catalysts to promote various reactions, including degradation of environmental pollution, hydrogen generation, organic transformation, etc. [10][11][12][13] Such efforts help to disbelief the traditional idea that gold suffers from the lack of catalytic properties.…”
