Echiura from South Shetland Islands together with a review of its geographic distribution in the Antarctic Ocean

Abstract: Echiuran worms collected by the Spanish BENTART ( = Bentos Ant/trtico) cruises during years 1994 and 1995 to the South Shetland Islands from depths ranging from 24 to 1019 m are recorded. Three speci:',s are recognized: Alomasoma belyaevi, Echiurus antar,:ticus and Prashadus sp., with the presence of Prasfladus sp. confirmed in the Antarctic.
