Economic production of maize under chemical and granular organic fertilizer with hormone mixed formula, NPK and organic fertilizer

Abstract: A new hybrid of maize (Pacific 999 Super) was investigated under six treatments; organic fertilizer (OF), chemical and granular organic fertilizer with hormone mixed formula A (HO-A), formula B (HO-B), formula C (HO-C), NPK-15-15-15 and control in 2017 and 2018 seasons at Phitsanulok, Thailand. The treatments were arranged in randomized complete block design (RCBD) with 3 replications. Fertilizer application rate was 300 kg/ha. Initial soil analysis had shown lower rates of NPK (0.394%, 0.013% and 0.191%). Th… Show more

“…The research soil was sandy clay loam and low in soil fertility (Table 2). The average annual rainfall and temperature in the province are 1339 mm and 27.8 ºC, respectively and about 85 % of rain occurs between (June-October, 2018-2019. During the trial, the average monthly rainfall for the two seasons was 73.12 mm, while maximum and minimum temperatures were 34.1 ºC and 24.6 ºC, respectively.…”

“…Maize grain mass varied significantly among the fertilizers (Table 5). The nutrients (N, Fe, Cu, Zn, S, and Mg) are important elements in the synthesis of organic compounds (carbohydrates) in crops (Keteku et al, 2019). Under favourable soil conditions, the production of organic compounds is enhanced by these nutrients.…”

“…The Effect of Fertilizers and Growth Regulators on the Productivity of Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) in the Dry Climate of Russia contributed to obtaining a seed yield of 1.18-1.3 t/ha, NSR 0.5 0.26. The integrated use of agrochemicals will allow the yield of safflower seeds to be 20.6-35.6% higher (Amangaliev et al, 2023;Keteku et al, 2019). It has been established that the use of additional mineral nutrition together with growth regulators in various phases of plants directly affects the morphological structure of plants, growth (formation of additional branches, baskets), seed development and their filling by 10.9-26.7% (Bogosoryanskaya, 2009;Polyakov et al, 2020;Prahova et al, 2022).…”

“…Furthermore, early dill planting help to avoid the exposure of heat stress which is known to significantly affect plant growth and development (Berry and Bjorkman1980). Fertilizers application such as urea is also an important management practices that is adapted to increase crop yield (Murthy et al, 2015;Ezung et al, 2018;Keteku et al, 2019;Abdelaal et al, 2019). Nitrogen plays an important role in plant growth and development through enhancement of many bio-reactions such as photosynthesis process.…”
