“…Porém somente em 2017 o Ministério da Saúde decide por meio da Portaria de número 31, embasado pelo relatório de recomendação nº 249/17 da Comissão Nacional de Incorporação de Tecnologias no SUS (CONITEC), incorporar o procedimento de cirurgia bariátrica por videolaparoscopia no SUS, a modalidade em questão é a Gastroplastia com derivação intestinal em Y-de-Roux. Este avanço proporcionou menor tempo de estadia hospitalar e em UTI além de uma recuperação mais rápido do paciente garantindo a ele um retorno às atividades laborais antecipadamente (BRASIL, 2017).Em um estudo longitudinal e retrospectivo feito com 118 pacientes que se submeteram à cirurgia bariátrica com derivação intestinal em Y-de-Roux observou-se que 21 deles eram acometidos por diabetes mellitus e que sete anos após a intervenção cirúrgica 20 deles apresentavam níveis normais de índice glicêmico sendo que nenhum deles tomava medicamentos para controle da doença(CSENDES et al, 2011).Abarcados estes temas este estudo busca mensurar as possíveis vantagens econômicas que uma cirurgia bariátrica realizada por videolaparoscopia pode apresentar mediante os gastos gerados pelas comorbidades oriundas da Diabetes Mellitus.…”
