“…Since polyphenols can normalize plasma homocysteine levels in humans, one double-blind placebocontrolled study on the effect of brisk consumption of 200 ml drink rich in antioxidant polyphenols from apple, lemon concentrate juice, apple, green tea extracts, and vitamins B and C on total plasma homocysteine levels in AD patients (initial and moderate phase) has been done (Table 5 ).
