“…Copper ferrite, CuFe 2 O 4 was synthesized via a co-precipitation reaction adapted from prior reports. 12,13 An aqueous solution with stoichiometric equivalents of copper(II) nitrate hemipentahydrate, Cu(NO 3 ) 2 Á2.5H 2 O and iron(III) nitrate nonahydrate, Fe(NO 3 ) 3 Á9H 2 O was added to an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide, NaOH. The mixture was washed, refluxed, washed again and dried under vacuum at 80 1C.…”

“…There are numerous methods for fabricating copper ferrite nanoparticles such as milling method, co-precipitation method, and hydrothermal method. [11][12][13] In our previous work, 14 cation distribution and magnetic properties of copper ferrite prepared by using a spray co-precipitation method with different annealing temperatures were investigated. The result indicated that with increasing annealing temperature (T a ), the distribution of Cu 2þ in the tetrahedral (A) site (y) increases, reaches the maximum value at T a ¼ 900 C, and leads to the increase in saturation magnetization.…”

“…Wet-chemical syntheses have been developed to obtain fine-grained and nano-sized CuFe 2 O 4 powders [19,20,21,22]. A microwave assisted hydrothermal process was reported by Thongtem et al [23].…”
