“…Incidence of NEP by CCL 4 leads to a higher level of both TBARS and NO in the renal tissue, and that was linked to the acidic media of CCL 4 that destruct the renal vascular endothelium and enhance the process of lipid peroxidation and biosynthesis of NO with huge amount [35]. The current information was concurred with [36,37].…”

“…This CCl 3 ∗ radical interacts with reactive oxygen species (ROS), leading to the generation of another radical known as trichloromethyl peroxyl radical (OOCCl 3 ∗). The presence of the two radicals CCl 3 ∗ and OOCCl 3 ∗ contributes to an increase in oxidative stress, triggering various pathways including lipid peroxidation ( Erdaş et al, 2021 ), disruption of the glutathione pathway ( Bikheet et al, 2022 ) and the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, specifically TNF-α ( Devi et al, 2021 ) and IL-6 ( Wali et al, 2021 ). These cumulative effects ultimately contribute to liver damage.…”

“…It has been studied that P. acidilactici can survive through the gastrointestinal tract, can survive drying, can be stored at 4 °C for 60 days [ 40 , 41 ], and is active against Helicobacter pylori in vitro [ 42 ]. It has been shown that P. acidilactici ameliorates liver fibrosis induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl 4 ) [ 43 ].…”
