The study under discussion aims to delve into the employment motivation of language teachers in transnational higher education (TNHE) private universities within China. It draws on previous case studies for inspiration, namely the work of Morris and Morris and Mo. Using an exploratory case study methodology coupled with in-depth interviews, the research delves into the career motivations of three educators working in TNHE private universities. The findings indicate that these English instructors are driven by a variety of extrinsic factors when choosing to work at TNHE private universities.
