“…In agreement with our results, the liver tissue damages have been also reported in other fish, following the challenge with bacteria, A. hydrophila (Grizzle & Kiryu, 1993;Hamid et al, 2016;Kumar et al, 2016;Wang et al, 2017). Furthermore, there are a few studies, indicating the protective effects of plant-based supplements on liver tissue (Aisiah et al, 2020;Moustafa et al, 2020).…”

“…LD50 figures are frequently used as a general indicator of a substance's acute toxicity. A lower LD50 is indicative of increased toxicity (Aisiah et al 2020). Growth and survival are the major character in the aquaculture system and most selection programs focused on these traits (Krishna et al 2011;Gjedrem et al 2012).…”

“…Motile Aeromonas Septicaemia (MAS) represents a significant threat to freshwater fish populations, resulting in substantial economic losses due to its alarmingly high mortality rates, which can reach 80-100% within a short timeframe of 1-2 weeks [1]. Treating infected fish incurs elevated production costs.…”
