Abstract:Background: Metoprolol (MET) is a selective Beta-1 blocker. It is metabolized in the liver. Unlike most Betablockers, Metoprolol is unique in causing liver toxicity, which is infrequent, ranging from raised liver enzymes to severe liver damage.
