A systematic literature review emphasizes the significance of nutrient management in paddy crop production. It covers the crucial nutrients and their deficiencies that can substantially reduce crop growth, yield, and quality. Nutrient deficiency management challenges and limitations vary across different growth stages and are influenced by factors such as soil nutrient availability, plant genotype, and environmental conditions. Effective nutrient management strategies, such as fertilization, foliar spraying, and breeding for nutrient-use efficiency, can help mitigate these challenges and improve crop growth and yield. By applying fertilizers at the appropriate time and amount, proper nutrient management practices can enhance rice growth and yield. The review offers insights into the challenges and opportunities for improving nutrient management in paddy crop production and identifies emerging technologies to overcome these challenges. The study also contributes to the development of advanced computing technologies to predict nutrient deficiencies in various stages of paddy growth.
