Effect of phosphorus and sulphur levels on yield, fractions of phosphorus and sulphur and nitrate reductage activity of soil after harvest of soybean

Abstract: A field experiments were conducted to study the effect of phosphorus and sulphur levels on yield, fractions of P and S and nitrate reductase activity of soil after harvest of soybean at Research Farm, Department of Soil Science and Agril. Chemistry, MKV, Parbhani (M.S.). The treatment consisted of four levels P (P 0 , P 30 , P 60 and P 90 kg P 2 O 5 ha-1) and four levels of S (S 0 , S 20 , S 40 and S 60 kg ha-1) applied through DAP and elemental sulphur. Result indicated that grain and straw yield, Leghaemoglo… Show more

“…It might due to the fact that sulphur has a profound effect on creating assimilation area absorbing photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) which resulted in improved yield of blackgram. Our results are in close agreement with the findings of Dhage et al (2014). The magnitude of response in yield was more due to phosphorus application than sulphur application.…”

“…In relation to moisture content in soil all fertilizers dose showed non significant result at all periodical days. The similar results were obtained by Shrivastava (1996), Aruna and Sagar (2016) [1] , and Dhange (2009) [3] , Ramesh et al (2013) [7] .…”

“…Previous research outside the United States has observed P and S fertilization interactions to affected protein, biological N yield, and S use (Abido, 2018; Dhage et al., 2014; Gates & Muller, 1979; Khan et al., 2020; Kumar & Singh, 1980; Mahmoodi et al., 2013). Beneficial information may be gleaned from researching the S and P interaction effect on soybean in the United States.…”
