The experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) comprised of nine treatments and three replications having various combinations of growth regulators (GA3 and NAA) applied at full bloom stage. Among all the treatments applied,'T5'{GA3 10ppm + NAA 10 ppm} performed best with highest fruit set (60.59%), fruit yield (26.33 kg), fruit size (2.14 cm × 2.61 cm length × diameter), fruit weight (22.33 g.), fruit volume (32.05 cm3/fruit), fruit firmness (1.26 kg/cm2), highest total soluble solids (21.00 0 Brix), titrable acidity (0.67%), ascorbic acid (13.45 mg/100 gram), total phenol (0.07 mg/100 gram), total sugar (21.22%), reducing sugar (4.27%) and non reducing sugar (16.11%).

he present study was carried out during two successive of 2016 and 2017 on 10 years old Balady mandarin (Citrus reticulate Blanco) trees budded on sour orange rootstock (Citrus aurantium L. Osbeck) and spaced 3.5×3.5 meters apart. Trees have been treated with girdling and gibberellic acid and were grown in sandy soil under drip irrigation system in a private orchard at Alkamal region-Ismalia Governorate, Egypt, in July and December. The aim of this work was to study the effect of girdling and gibberellic acid on the vegetative growth, yield and fruit quality. The chosen trees girdled with 2 mm, 4 mm width and gibberellic acid was sprayed (at 50 and 100 ppm) alone or in combination with girdling in each season. Results showed that, girdling 4 mm+100 ppm gibberellic acid have given the best enhanced vegetative growth parameters in terms of leaf area, carbohydrate and chlorophyll contents in the leaves of Balady mandarin trees in both seasons. Moreover, treatment of girdling 4 mm in December and girdling 4 mm+50 ppm GA3 gave the best fruit length, diameter as compared to control treatment. Yield and fruit quality of the chosen trees were significantly increased by all treatments as compared to control in both seasons.

A two-year (2020-21) study was conducted to investigate the possibility of relying of ten-years old pear trees grown on sandy loam soil irrigated by drip on citric acid (CA), gibberellic acid (GA3) and humic acid (HA). The CA was applied at the concentrations of 500, 1000 and 1500 ppm, GA3 at 50, 100 and 150 ppm and HA at 3, 4 and 5%, whereas water spray was used as the control. The results of our study proved that CA, GA3 and HA improved the shoot length, shoot thickness, leaf area and leaf chlorophyll of pear as compared with the control. Moreover, they also positively increased the fruit set percentage and final yield of ‘Le Conte’ pear. The fruit weight, size and firmness were also improved under the influence of aforementioned treatments. The fruit soluble solids, total sugars, leaf nitrogen, leaf phosphorus and leaf potassium of pear were also enhanced as compared with the control. Additionally, spraying of GA3 at 150 ppm, as well as, HA at 5 and 4% were the superior treatments and showed the most significant impact on plant growth, yield, fruit quality and leaf mineral content of pear. This study provides a basis for the future elucidation of HA-, GA3- and CA-modulated molecular mechanisms in pear, which can make a significant contribution in the scientific community.
