Effect of Seed Treatment and Phosphorus on Growth and Yield of Green Gram (Vigna radiata L.)

Abstract: The subject test changed into performed all through the Kharif season (2021) at Crop Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, SHUATS, Prayagraj (U.P). The dirt of the trial plot changed into sandy loamy in surface, practically unbiased in soil response (pH 7.1), low in regular carbon (0.36%), to be had N (171.48 kg/ha), to be had P (15.2 kg/ha) and to be had K (232.5kg/ha). The treatments comprised of phosphorus (40,50 and 60 kg/ha) and seed treatment (Dry seed, Hydro priming, and KCl) Viz., whose effect is foun… Show more

“…Low groundnut production in India is attributed to rainfed cultivation in areas with erratic rainfall distribution. Lack of suitable rainfed varieties coupled with diseases like rust, tikka and bud necrosis, hampering production [6]. To boost yields, selecting the right variety, optimal spacing and fertilizer dosage is crucial.…”

“…Among the various plant growth regulators, cycocel has been reported to be very effective in improving yield and quality of certain field and vegetable crops, which causes retardation of vegetative growth and diversion of assimilates towards reproductive growth [8]. Application of cycocel had an inhibitory effect on plant height, increased number of branches and nodules per plant in green gram [9].…”
