“…Time of sampling of the healthy group was performed at the full term of pregnancy, where in Ut group was performed at presentation before correction, and in Utc group was performed 5 days after the manual correction. The blood samples were divided into two portions: the first portion was 2 ml collected into EDTA tubes for hematological examinations within 2 h (Hashem et al 2018b;Neamat-Allah et al 2019a, b), where the second was 10 ml of blood collected into a plain tubes and allowed to clot before separation of the serum by centrifugation at 3000 rpm for 20 min (Abdallah et al 2020a, Abdallah et al 2020b, Neamat-Allah et al 2020a). The serum was then stored at − 20°until biochemical analysis (Badr et al 2011;El-Murr et al 2019;Salem et al 2011;Hashem et al 2020;Mahmoud et al 2020;Neamat-Allah et al 2020b) at the clinical pathology lab of Zagazig University.…”

“…After postmortem examination, tissue samples from the spleen, liver, and lungs were quickly excised and preserved in 10% buffered formalin; the preserved tissues were quickly processed for histopathological examination. All standard protocols for histopathological examination, including fixation, washing, dehydration, clearing, embedding, block preparation, sectioning, and mounting, were adopted ( Abdallah et al., 2020 ).…”
