“…The education program was developed by a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers and patient partners, using a rigorous, theoretically-based process, as is described elsewhere [ 15 ]. Cardiac College™ has been tested in high- [ 16 ], as well as low- and middle-income settings [ 14 ], and shown to improve clinical outcomes, heart-health behaviours, and disease-related knowledge, as well as decrease morbidity, with maintenance of gains 1-year following CR.
