Background : Pain in the perineal area is caused by labor and tissue damage associated with various interventions during labor such as spontaneous perineal tears, episiotomy, forceps, vacuum extraction, big fetal conditions, and the position of the baby at birth. One of effective non-pharmacological methods in reducing perineal pain is the use of ice gel compresses. Research purposes: The purpose of this study was to determine the Effect of Ice Gel Compresses on Spontaneous Perineal Wound Pain in 24 hours Postpartum Mothers.Methods : This study employed a true experimental design method. The independent variable was ice gel compress, and the dependent variable was perineal wound pain 24 hours postpartum mothers.
