Experimental research in the field of hepatology on the development of traditional medicine into a potential pharmacological solution to protect the liver from cirrhosis. Accordingly, this study investigated the effect of ethanol extract of temu kunci rhizome on liver cirrhosis. The rats were divided into six groups, the normal control group was given nothing but pellets and sufficient water, the negative control group was given orally CMC-Na 0.5%, 200 mg acetylcysteine (dose converted to rat) was given to the positive control group, and the treatment group was given ethanol extract of temu kunci rhizome doses of 250, 500, 750 mg/kg BW, given daily for 10 days. Then on the 10th day after 1 hour of extract administration, induction was carried out with paracetamol 800 mg/kg BW orally; 16 hours after induction, rats were sacrificed, blood was taken for ALT and AST enzyme examination, then liver organs were taken for histopathological examination. The administration of ethanol extract of temu kunci rhizome can prevent liver damage by reducing ALT and AST enzyme levels in rat blood serum. The best dose in reducing ALT and AST enzymes was produced by giving 500 mg/kg BW of temu kunci rhizome ethanol extract every day for 10 days. At a dose of 500 mg/kg BW ethanol extract of temu kunci rhizome morphologically (evaluation with H&E staining) can also repair liver tissue damaged by paracetamol induction. The development of liver damage can be interpended by using ethanol extract of temu kunci rhizome, so that the status of liver morphology, structure and function of the liver can be maintained.

Herbal medicines have been widely used throughout the world because of its fewer side effects compared to chemical-based medicines. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the combination of ethanol extract gel from binahong leaves and mobe leaves on the proliferation of fibroblasts and osteocytes in socket wounds after tooth extraction in Wistar rats. This in vivo experimental study involved 32 male Wistar rats which were randomly allocated to 8 groups of observations. Tooth extraction was carried out on the lower left incisor. A combined extract gel made of, binahong leaves and mobe leaves in the ratio of 1:1, 1:3, 3:1 was applied to group I to II, III to IV and V to VI respectively, meanwhile, group VII and VIII were given Aloclair ® gel and serve as the control group. On the 7 th and 21 st days after tooth extraction, the rats were sacrified and the proliferation of fibroblasts and osteocytes were observed with Hematoxylin-Eosin staining. Research data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA test. The results showed that the combination group of ethanol extract gel of binahong leaves and mobe leaves with a ratio of 3:1 had the highest number of fibroblast on 7 th day (p < 0.05) and the highest number of osteocyte on 21 st day compared to the control group (p < 0.05). The experiments showed that combination of ethanol binahong leaves and mobe leaves extract gel had an effect on increasing the proliferation of fibroblasts and osteocytes on the healing of socket wounds after tooth extraction in Wistar rats on the 7 th and 21 st days. RezumatMedicamentele pe bază de plante au fost utilizate pe scară largă în întreaga lume datorită efectelor secundare mai puține în comparație cu medicamentele pe bază de substanțe chimice. Scopul acestui studiu a fost de a determina efectul combinației de gel cu extract etanolic din frunze de Binahong și frunze de Mobe asupra proliferării fibroblastelor și osteocitelor în rănile de la nivelul soclului după extracția dinților la șobolanii Wistar. Acest studiu experimental in vivo a implicat 32 de șobolani Wistar masculi care au fost repartizați aleatoriu în 8 grupuri de observații. Extracția dentară a fost efectuată pe incisivul inferior stâng. Un gel de extract combinat format din frunze de binahong și frunze de mobe în proporție de 1:1, 1:3, 3:1 a fost aplicat la grupurile I -II, III -IV și, respectiv, V -VI, între timp, la grupurile VII și VIII s-a administrat gel Aloclair ® și a servit drept grup de control. În zilele 7 și 21 după extracția dinților, șobolanii au fost sacrificați și proliferarea fibroblastelor și a osteocitelor a fost observată cu colorarea cu Hematoxilină-Eozină. Rezultatele au arătat că grupul de combinație tratat cu gel de extract etanolic din frunze de binahong și frunze de mobe în raport de 3:1 a avut cel mai mare număr de fibroblaste în ziua a 7-a (p < 0,05) și cel mai mare număr de osteocite în ziua a 21-a în comparație cu grupul de control (p < 0,05). Objective: The objective of the present study is to formulate and evaluate a topical gel containing minoxidil and tofacitinib citrate for alopecia areata. Methods: Forty-eight rat males were given treatment using 3% binahong leaf extract nanogel (twelve rats given palatal wound, twelve rats mandibular tooth extraction) and nanogel base (same with the amount used to extract). On palatal wounds, as many as four rats were in euthanasia on days third, seven, and fourteen for each group treatment. Whereas on the extraction groups, four rats were in euthanasia on days seventh, fourteen, and twenty-eight. palatal tissue and alveolar bone were taken, and fibroblasts as well as osteoblasts were observed using the coloring Hematoxylin-eosin. Results: Data revealed there were significant differences in the number of fibroblasts in each treatment between day three and seven (p<0.05), between day seven and fourteen (p<0.05), and there were significant differences in the number of osteoblasts in each treatment for 3 periods (p<0.05). Conclusion: Application of binahong leaf extract nanogel on palatal wound increased fibroblast proliferation and on post-extraction socket increased the number osteoblasts indicating better wound healing compared to control.
