Abstract:Cigarette smoking is a major cause of preventable morbidity and mortality in the world. There is altered autonomic activity in smokers which also predisposes to cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. To monitor the autonomic activity, heart rate variability has emerged as efficient tool.
