“…Later on, Suman et al . utilized one strain of G. diazotrophicus , named IS100, besides strains of A. brasilense and Azotobacter chrococcum to evaluate nitrogen efficiency applied in increased doses on sugarcane planted in India . G. diazotrophicus showed the best results of crop yield, followed by its combination with A. chrococcum and A. brasilense .…”

“…Based on the partial factor of productivity (PFP) and on the AE, the best combination was the leaf inoculant application associated to 60 ha ¡1 of N fertilizer with the best relation of stalk production per kg of applied N (Table 5). In India, Suman et al (2013) verified that the same inoculant associated with N doses (0, 75, and 150 kg ha ¡1 ) promoted the increase of stalk production and improved the N-fertilizer utilization efficiency in all fertilization levels; however, the best result was observed for the dose of 75 kg of N ha ¡1 associated to the inoculant. According to Trivelin and Franco (2011), these indexes are only of relative value and utility, when one intends to compare different management forms of N fertilizers for a fixed N dose.…”
