Abstract:Two insect growth regulators (IGRS) were tested against the armoured scale Aspidiotus nerii and the soft scale Parthenolecanium corni in the greenhouse. The most sensitive stages appeared to be the second instar in the females and nymphal stages in males. CGA 34300 and CGA 34301 applied at a rate of 0.05 % a.i. with appropriate timing gave encouraging results and merit further evaluation as control agents under field conditions.
