Effects of laparoscopic cystectomy on ovarian reserve in patients with endometrioma and dermoid cyst

Abstract: Amaç: Laparoskopik kistektominin ovaryan rezerv üzerine etkisini endometriomalı ve dermoid kistli hastalarda karıştırmaktır. Show more

“…The decline in serum AMH levels in the first 3 months following surgery was 3 times higher following laparoscopic cystectomy of endometrioma (45.39% vs. 14.87%; p = 0.021) [ 29 ]. The same result was observed when comparing laparoscopic cystectomy in patients with endometrioma and dermoid cysts [ 33 ].…”

“…The decline of AMH levels after surgery is higher in patients with ovarian endometrioma than in those with other benign tumours [ 29 , 31 , 32 , 33 ]. This is in line with the impact per se of endometriosis in ovarian reserve and the fact that it is also present when surgery is performed by a specialised surgeon [ 26 , 32 , 66 ].…”

“…Laparoscopic treatment has a high clearance rate for OEMC, but because of the tight connection between the cyst and normal ovarian tissue, intraoperative operations such as cyst wall stripping and hemostasis can easily cause follicle loss, resulting in compromised ovarian reserve function in patients ( 9 , 10 ). Therefore, strengthening the screening of ovarian reserve after cyst dissection is of great significance for early intervention and improvement of patients’ prognosis.…”

“…Šio hormono svyravimas mentruacinio ciklo metu nėra toks išreikštas, kaip kitų, todėl itin tinkamas stebėjimui. Tiek endometriomų, tiek dermoidų operacinis pašalinimas lemia statistiškai reikšmingą AMH sumažėjimą ir kiaušidžių rezervo pažaidą [27,28]. Pašalinus didelio diametro kiaušidžių cistas ( > 5 cm), galima tikėtis statistiškai reikšmingo AMH sumažėjimo [29].…”
