Abstract:This study aimed to determine the effects of sub-lethal concentrations of lead (PbCl2) on some oxidative stress in the African catfish Clarias gariepinus. Fishes were captured from Manzala Lake, Egypt. They were acclimatized and fed with commercial fish diet for one month before starting the experiment. Two experimental groups were exposed to two sublethal concentrations (10% and 30% of LC 50 ) of lead chloride, fishes from different experimental groups were sacrificed after 60 days of exposure. Oxidative stre… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
