“…[ 45 ] Similarly, when the spontaneous decay rates of the QS increases near a nanostructure due to the Purcell effect, the population transfer efficiency of STIRAP increases, as well. However, when these decay rates exceed a threshold, the transfer efficiency of STIRAP begins to decrease, [ 44,46,47 ] a phenomenon also noticed in generic three‐level QSs. [ 48,49 ] On the other hand, in the study [ 47 ] efficient population transfer using STIRAP is achieved for small distance between the QS and the MNP, medium values of the free‐space decay rates as well as large value of the pump and small value of the Stokes Rabi frequencies, when the pump and the Stokes field is polarized along the tangential and the radial direction, correspondingly, relatively to the surface of the MNP.…”
